There will be a puppet show, face painting, and dance presentation by Connelly Dance Studio. Also many NYC agencies and community organizations available to answer your questions. Scheduled to be in attendance are DEP, Department of Finance, Queens Zoo, American Red Cross, Queens Public Library, Department of Consumer Affairs, FDNY, Howard Beach Senior Center, Hall of Science, and the Alley Pond Environmental Center. Tickets are now on sale. Sponsored by St. Thomas Apostle Church. The gala concert will be held on Saturday evening, September 20, at 7:30 PM in Msgr. Mulz Hall, Jamaica Avenue at 88th Street in Woodhaven. The concert will feature lyric soprano, Alicia Alexander; dramatic soprano, Jenny Lynn Stewart; tenors Rinaldo Toglia and Thomas J. Stallone, a cousin of actor Sylvester Stallone. William Thomas Smiddy, pianist, will also be featured. The exciting concert will include songs from the Broadway stage, Italian favorites and well-known classical pieces. Admission is $20.00 and seats are reserved. Please order your tickets to this concert in advance as previous performances have sold out quickly. Tickets are distributed on a first come, first served basis.
